Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 September 2026

This policy covers ListingBoost — the website at this address and the ListingBoost Crawler Chrome extension. It is written to be read, not to be survived, so it says plainly what the software does with your information.

The short version. We read the pages of the store you ask us to check, so we can tell you what is wrong with them. We keep the findings — your score, the problems found, page titles and image filenames — so you can come back to them. We do not keep a copy of your pages. We do not sell anything about you to anyone.

Who we are

ListingBoost is operated by Sriram Prabhu P. You can reach us at p.sriramprabhu@gmail.com for any question about this policy, or to ask for your data to be deleted.

What we collect

Your account

Your email address, and a password stored only as a bcrypt hash — a one-way scramble that cannot be turned back into your password. If you sign in with Google we store the Google account identifier instead. We also record when you registered and when you last signed in.

The pages you ask us to check

When you run a check, the extension reads the HTML of the page open in your browser tab and sends it to our server, which examines it and scores it. When you run a whole-site crawl, our server fetches your store's pages itself, guided by your sitemap.

The page HTML is processed and discarded. It is never written to our database. What we keep is the report produced from it:

How much you have used

Counts of checks, crawls and content generations in the current billing period, so we can apply your plan's limits.

What we do not collect

Why we collect it

InformationPurpose
Email and password hashTo create your account and let you sign back in.
Page HTML (transient)To find the SEO problems on the page. Discarded after analysis.
Reports and snapshotsTo show you your results and let you compare against last time.
Usage countsTo enforce the limits of the free and Pro plans.
Subscription identifiersTo know whether your plan is active.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers, each for one job. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not hand it to anyone for advertising.

ProviderWhat reaches them
Railway (hosting)Runs the server. All traffic passes through it.
MongoDB Atlas (database)Stores your account and your reports.
Anthropic (AI)Only if you use the content tools: the page facts needed to write your social posts. Not used for account data, and not used for the SEO check itself.
Dodo PaymentsYour billing details, if you subscribe. They are the merchant of record.

We will also disclose information if the law requires it of us.

What we will never do

We confirm, as the Chrome Web Store requires of every developer:

How long we keep it

Reports and crawls stay in your account until you delete them or close your account. Close your account and we remove your account record and every report attached to it within 30 days. Backups roll off within a further 30 days. Page HTML, as above, is never stored at all.

Your choices

If you are in the UK, EU, or another region with data protection law, those rights — access, correction, erasure, portability, objection — apply to you and the same email address serves all of them.

Security

Traffic runs over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in readable form. Access to the database is restricted to the application. No system is perfect, and we will tell affected users promptly if we ever discover a breach that puts their information at risk.

Children

ListingBoost is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, we will update the date at the top and tell account holders by email before it takes effect.
