Check every page of your Shopify store. Install nothing in it.
ListingBoost crawls your whole Shopify store from a Chrome extension and ranks every problem by how many pages it affects. It adds no code to your theme and asks for no access to your store, so there's nothing to slow your pages down and nothing to clean up if you stop using it.
Nothing added to your store
Most SEO apps work by getting into your store — editing theme code, reading your products, sometimes your customers. ListingBoost works from the outside, the way Google does.
No theme edits
It never writes to your theme. Your code stays exactly as your developer left it, and uninstalling leaves nothing behind — because nothing was ever added.
No store permissions
It doesn't connect to your Shopify admin, so it can't see your orders, customers or payouts. It reads the pages you point it at, and the page HTML is processed and discarded, never stored.
Nothing running on your storefront
No scripts are injected into your pages, so it can't add to your load time or interfere with your analytics and ad pixels.
Built for how Shopify works today
Generic SEO checkers were written for websites in general. These are the places they go wrong on a Shopify store, and what ListingBoost does instead.
No false alarms about image formats
Shopify's CDN sends WebP or AVIF to browsers that support them, even when the file ends in .jpg. ListingBoost checks the format your visitors actually receive, so it won't send you off to convert images that are already fine. It still lists every image that's genuinely too heavy, and the page it sits on.
Knows your AI files aren't broken pages
Every Shopify store now publishes agents.md and llms.txt for AI shopping
assistants. ListingBoost recognises them and leaves them out of your score, instead of reporting
"missing title" on a file that was never meant to have one.
Points you to the right admin screen
Each problem says where it's fixed — Products, Themes or Online Store preferences. When your storefront shows its store address, it links straight to that screen in your admin.
Fixes in Shopify's own words
On Pro, fixes come as steps you can follow in the admin — like Products → open the product → Search engine listing → Edit — plus copy-paste code for the ones that need it.
An outside view, not another app
A typical SEO app and ListingBoost do different jobs. Here's the honest difference.
| Typical SEO app | ListingBoost | |
|---|---|---|
| Where it runs | Inside your store, from the App Store | In Chrome, outside your store |
| Theme changes | Often edits theme code | None |
| Store access | Products, theme, sometimes customers | None |
| Makes changes for you | Yes, some automatically | No — you make them, with exact steps |
| Checks your competitors | No | Any store you can open in Chrome |
If you want software that edits your store for you, an app is the right tool. If you'd rather know exactly what's wrong and stay in control of every change, that's what this is for.
How it works
Open your store in Chrome
Click the ListingBoost icon on any page of your store. Check just that page, or crawl the whole site.
Get one score for the whole store
It reads your sitemap and checks up to 100 pages at a time on Pro (10 on the free trial), politely, so it never puts load on your store.
Fix the widest problem first
Problems are sorted by how many pages each one affects, so one theme fix can clear dozens of pages at once. Every heavy image is listed with the page it's on.
What it checks
- Titles and meta descriptions — missing, too long or too short
- Product schema — what Google needs to show price, stock and reviews in results
- Heavy images — every oversized upload, its size, and the page it's on
- Pages hidden from Google — noindex, robots rules, pages missing from your sitemap
- Thin or copied product text — including descriptions that read like the manufacturer's
- AI search readiness — whether ChatGPT and Google's AI answers can quote your page
- Speed basics — render-blocking files, lazy-loaded hero images, missing image sizes
- Pre-launch stores — single-page checks read the page as you see it, so they work behind your storefront password

Questions
Is this a Shopify app?
No. It's a Chrome extension and a website. It isn't in the Shopify App Store and it isn't made by Shopify. That's deliberate: because it doesn't live inside your store, it doesn't need permission to your store, and it works on any store you can open in Chrome.
Will it change anything in my store?
No. It only reads. It tells you what to change and exactly where, and you make the change — so you always know what was done to your store and by whom.
Doesn't Shopify already handle SEO?
Partly, and ListingBoost doesn't re-flag what Shopify gets right. Shopify creates your sitemap, canonical tags and robots.txt, and serves modern image formats. What it can't do is write your titles and descriptions, fill in your product details, shrink the images you upload, or notice a page you accidentally hid from Google. That's where the problems usually are.
Do you keep a copy of my pages?
No. Page HTML is analysed and discarded. We keep the results — your score, the problems found, page titles and image filenames — so you can compare against last time. Privacy policy.
Will crawling slow my store down?
No. It fetches a few pages at a time with a pause between batches, and stops at your plan's page limit or a time limit, whichever comes first.
